The Pulmonary Fibrosis Australasian Clinical Trials (PACT) Network is proud to offer the PACT Grant-in-Aid for Investigator Led Pulmonary Fibrosis Clinical Research.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2023 Grant-in-Aid award!

A/Prof Natasha Smallwood and Ms Catherine Buchan’s application “A phase II randomised crossover trial to assess feasibility of domiciliary Nasal high Flow for chronic breathlessNess in people with InTerstial lung disEase (INFINITE)” was successful in securing the award. We congratulate them and wish them great success in undertaking this research!

The inaugural PACT Grant-in-Aid was awarded in August 2019 to Dr Lauren Troy for “Novel diagnostic techniques in interstitial lung disease: extension of the COLDICE study findings”. Read more about Lauren’s research here.

The second annual PACT Grant-in-Aid for Investigator Led Pulmonary Fibrosis Clinical Research was delayed by the pandemic until 2021. It was awarded in May 2021 to Dr Yet Hong Khor for “Understanding overnight oximetry in fibrotic interstitial lung disease”. Read more about Yet’s research, here.

The third annual PACT Grant-in-Aid for Investigator Led Pulmonary Fibrosis Clinical Research was awarded in June 2022 to Dr Hayley Barnes and Dr Ryan Hoy for “Discovering Radiological Biomarkers in Silicosis using Artificial Intelligence.” Read more about Hayley’s research, here.
